Buffer: Manage Twitter, Facebook, Social Media

Published & copyrighted by Buffer, Inc

Buffer app is a social media management system, which is a suite of tools designed to help you in your digital campaign. It is designed to help you automate your social media posts.

Interface

It has a very user-friendly interface that is simple to navigate. It is easy to schedule posts and can be done in bulk. However, copying the link to your buffer is not very user-friendly.  You have to hold down the option key and click the "Share" button.  It would have been much more convenient if this was a simple way to copy the link.

Key Features

It's a social media micro-manager's dream. Buffer allows you to schedule updates on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn all from one place. It also allows for tracking of how your updates are doing over time. For example, I can see how many retweets or likes I get per tweet over time. This allows me to optimize my updates for maximum engagement. It's a great way to make sure your messages are getting out to a wider audience.

The Buffer app also has a variety of features, such as:

  • the ability to share content from your favorite websites,
  • the ability to schedule your Tweets and Facebook messages,
  • a built-in browser for easy content curation,
  • the ability to track your shares and mentions and generate reports.

It should be mentioned in this Buffer review that if you're sharing a link to a blog post that has a spelling mistake that you want to correct, you can't do it.

In-app Purchases

The app is free to download and use and has a number of pricing options available when you purchase a subscription. The Buffer app also offers a free plan, which is limited to one profile. The free plan offers unlimited posts with no time limit. You are also able to schedule 10 posts every 30 minutes. The free plan also allows for creating one queue of posts.

How to Use the App

To post to a social media platform, simply select the platform you want to post to and provide the post and its associated image.

The interface has a grid of icons that represent the social media platforms. To post to a social media site, the user selects the icon that corresponds to the site and then selects the post type. The post types are "Tweet" for Twitter, "Post" for Facebook, "Link" for LinkedIn, "G+" for Google+, and "Stumble" for StumbleUpon.

You can also schedule posts ahead of time. You can set up the app to post at a specific time or wait for a certain amount of time to pass before the post is published. It is also possible to save posts for future use.

The Bottom Line

It's a great app for managing updates on your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts from one simple place. I use it to manage updates on my LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. Buffer is a great service for managing your social media updates. It's easy to use and free for individuals. If you're looking for a way to manage your social media, give Buffer a try. I use it to manage my LinkedIn and Twitter updates.
