Fall Guys is the platform battle royale arcade game. This is a set of mini-games you have to perform to move further. The game was created by Mediatonic and released in 2019. It is available on Windows, PS4, Nintendo, Xbox. Up to 60 players can join the game at once.

Gameplay 10/10

There is not one game you play, but dozens of them at the same time. Every match you play has numerous rounds. Every mini-game is different and once you master your skills in one of them, the other may just kill you. There is a time limit for each game. Those who can’t deal with these tough conditions lose. They can start from the beginning.

The playing field changes based on your tasks. You may need to climb, jump, run, throw something, and dive into something. It doesn't get easier with each new level. Some games are made for solo players, others require teamwork. You can always ask your friends to join you in this craziness. The higher you go, the more complex games you receive. You have to avoid falling down into the pink slime while you play the games. The last player, who survives all the challenges, wins.

Visuals 9/10

There is a well-developed three-dimensional playing field. Each player is able to pick the unique costume or even improve it for Kudos, the in-game currency. These costumes are adorable and may look like a burger, small lion, king, egg. The recent updates in the game offer you costumes from Half-Life, Godzilla, Sonic the Hedgehog, Doom, and even Among Us games. The music fits perfectly the graphics. There is only one tiny problem, which is extremely vivid colors you have to get used to. The first time you enter the game, you may feel like you got right in pink and blue bubblegum from the 80s.

There is no one particular scenario you have to follow. Besides, there are too many games to keep in mind and get bored of them. Some of the games you will not be able to enter for a long time. There are constantly changing new players around you. This battle royale can include 60 players at the same time. It is hard to get used to it, or even to accept it as your daily routine. The game gets even more challenging with each new round. It is made for fast thinkers and survivors who want to show the world their skills.

Controls 10/10

The rhythm of the game is fast enough for you not to sit or explore the locations. Nevertheless, even newcomers can learn how to play the game step by step. You begin with primitive tasks and you increase your talents from one game to another. You will quickly learn how to act in the game. All you need is enough patience to go back to the beginning and learn.

The Verdict

Fall Guys does not have a well-developed plot with a noble goal to save some kingdom. Instead, it offers you a crazy amount of unique entertainment. You play with another 59 players and the one who survives until the end wins. If you can barely manage through one game, don’t worry the next one will be different, and you can double your scores.
